Review of The Body Shop-Tea Tree Oil

Hey everyone,

The one thing we all girlies would unanimously agree on is that zits /pimples are our biggest nightmares. And most often they chose to happen on important days of our lives and on the most prominent places. And then how fervently we pray to make them disappear by magic and apply all the remedies we have learnt in all these years.

Since I have a oily combination skin, I have my fair share of  battle with these ugly imperfections. But one thing I have learnt is that there is no product discovered yet which can make them disappear in a night. They will leave by their own pace and the only solution left with us is to diminish their size, reduce the redness and make their farewell little speedy. The Body Shop-Tea Tree oil has made this possible for me.

                                                                 10ml for Rs. 625/-

TBS is tagging this one as their best selling products for quite a year or two. The product description says:
Targeted care for Blemished skin. Can be used direct on skin or for facial steaming.
Soothing
Does not dry skin out.

My take on the product

TBS Tea Tree Oil comes in a green colour transparent glass bottle packaging with a nozzle on the top which gives you a good control on amount of product to be use.It has a runny water texture with a highly scented tea tree smell (which I personally like a lot) . It can be used either by your fingers or on a cotton swab;however  I would personally recommend using your fingers as cotton swab would absorb   excess amount of product.

Tea Tree Oil is applied in a form of drop on the affected areas -zits and other blemishes  . However make sure that yours fingers are thoroughly cleaned before taking the oil on your fingers. With the months usage , I have observed that it visibly reduces the redness and the size of the zits and makes them dry thus making them  disappear a little faster. Plus there are no marks left behind. However , please note that it's not going to zap your zits overnight neither it's going to make your skin smoother by working on the large pores. It's mainly for reducing the redness and making the zits disappear a little faster without leaving any marks.

It's a 100% natural product and has not produce any side effects on my skin. I am using this product for the past one year and completely trust it for treating my pimples and blemishes.  It does not dry skin out ;neither makes it oily. You will always find a bottle in my vanity kit. It's on a tad expensive side but the 10 ml bottle goes a long way on the occasionally appearing zits. However , if you have a major acne /zit problem, I would recommend to stick to your dermatologist prescitption.

P.S: I use the whole TBS Tea tree range for my cleansing and toning regime.

Have you guys used this product ? How has been your experience with it ? Which is your favourite TBS product ?

Till then,

Goodnight

Review of L'oreal Paris Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer

Hola everyone,

I know I was MIA for such a long long time but then I was really busy in shifting my abode (in Mumbai itself) and resolving internet issues at my new place. I must say shifting wears you out completely. And I so much missed writing my blog during this phase though I was regular in checking out updates of my favourite bloggers.

I bought so many beauty products during this period and can't wait to share my reviews on them .
Starting with I will be reviewing my very first Primer : L'oreal Paris Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer.

                                  15 ml for Rs. 899/-

L'oreal claims: Smoothness you can Touch , Transformation you can see, even up close !
BASE MAGIQUE transforming smoothing primer instantly smooths pores and creates an even surface, so that you get a more flawless makeup result that lasts. The silky lightweight formula glides onto skin and minimises the look of pores and fine lines to transform your skin surface. Dermatologically tested.

My take on the product

Going with the definition of primer, it is a base product use for applying foundation and other makeup products on the face. A primer is essential to hold your foundation for hours and keep the skin oil and grease free. Being a novice in the makeup area, this is my first primer product.

L'oreal Base Magique Primer comes in a transparent jar packaging with a black screw on lid. Packaging is sturdy and travel friendly. It's a light rose coloured product, very smooth and silky in touch mainly because of the silicones loaded in it. The primer has a thick velvety texture and once applied on a face , it has to be blended thoroughly otherwise it leaves white particles behind.

It is very smooth in touch and does not leave any trail of oiliness or greasiness on the face. However , in my case where I have a combination skin, I need to well moisturise my skin before applying it otherwise it leaves a white cast behind.

Because of its light rose colour, it gives a soft glow to the skin and works well on smoothing fine lines and small pores. However it does not work on large pores. But I must say it holds my foundation well. My foundation applied with the primer remains steady for 4-5 hours ( And this is when temperature is soaring high in Mumbai ; in a relatively better weather it may remain steady for a longer time). Most of the time when I have to get ready for a casual outing , I apply the primer alone and it quite preps up my face.  The best part about it is that it controls the oil on my face and to some extent works as a mattifier.

Since a very small quantity of this product is required for application, this jar is going to go a long way in my case. Too bad, these days I am really liking to experiment with the new products.

L'oreal Base Magique is a everyday wearable primer and a good option for the ones looking for some smoothness and a soft glow on their skin. The only downside is that it requires quite a amount of blending and may not work that well on dry skinned beauties.

                                    Light Rose colored velvety texture

It makes the skin appear smoother and work well on the fine lines and small pores.

My rating for this product :4/5

Will I repurchase it : This jar is going to go a long way.

So have u tried the L'oreal Paris Base Magique Primer yet ? Did u like it ? Which is your favourite primer product ?

Adios
